Between 2010-2011, we contributed £50,000 to the creation of the Teenage Cancer ward at the Royal Surrey Hospital, Guildford.
The Hascombe paediatric ward was a sanctuary for Tildy during her illness. Each time she had an infection, she would stay over on the ward in an isolation room which had a bed for parents (this was about 60 nights in all). These rooms are a huge improvement and add much needed capacity to the Hascombe ward. In fact, Tildy provided a list of the things she felt would make an improvement.
